Morality in the AI World

Abstract AIs’ presence in and influence on human life is growing. AIs are seen more as autonomously acting agents, which creates a challenge to build ethics into their design. This paper defends the thesis that we need equip AI with artificial conscience make them capable of wise judgements. An argument built three steps. First, concept decision presented, second, Asilomar Principles for development analysed. It then shown meet those principles needs capability passing moral judgements right wrong, following judgement, meta-judgement correctness given role conscience. In classical philosophy, ability discover wrong stick one's judgement what action circumstances called practical wisdom . The conclusion should wisdom. Some problems stemming from ascribing agency also indicated.
